Dr. Asante Dickson – Hip Hop & Medicine, A Culture of Survival

Meet Dr. Asante Dickson, Chairman of the Radiology at Washington Adventist Hospital.  He’s a true New Yorker who was raised in a hip hop culture.  Dr. Dickson is well accomplished on many levels and drops knowledge throughout this entire podcast episode.  Perhaps most impressive is how he breaks down the impact of hip hop culture on his journey through medicine.  As he put it, he was raised in a culture of survival which played a significant role in his development.
